The TASTES comes this year with a new approach that transcends our difficult times to bring to you exciting new Physics! This year we will host the 10th edition of the Tastes of Nuclear Physics at UWC during 30 Nov – 4 Dec 2020. The Poster and Program of the X Tastes of Nuclear Physics will soon be available for your consideration and dissemination. Our objectives are always the same:

Enthusing our students towards their highest education and Physics achievements by attracting world-class lecturers to instruct them on timely topics in Fundamental and Applied Nuclear Physics and enlighten them on new research possibilities and supporting state-of-the-art facilities.

Interactive talks on timely and latest research will be given through ZOOM, and provided by national and international speakers. All students are encouraged to discuss Physics and engage with the experts at any time throughout the Tastes. Presentations, relevant papers and documentation, software, videos of the lectures and photos will be posted in our new webpage @ https://nuclear.uwc.ac.za/index.php/tastes/

It is important to note that the usual Tastes “terms and conditions” apply:

  • All students and staff members from any institution are welcome.
  • No registration and no fees are required.

We cannot forget to acknowledge strong support and relevant suggestions from our Physics colleagues, tireless efforts from the staff at Physics & Astronomy, Media and ICS Departments at UWC, and crucial funding from our sponsors: UniZulu, UWC, York and the STFC Council in the UK. Our sincere appreciation to everyone for making this superior opportunity for our students possible!

Let’s do Physics!

All the best!
